Abstract: For this week's Instagram decor trends, we thought it would be fun to cast our eyes over impeccably designed kitchens and bookmark the ones that are particularly noteworthy.

1. Light gray cabinets

One of our favorite kitchen design choices trending right now is ethereal light gray cabinets, similar to these cabinets by @chelseahargraveinteriors.

"Light gray cabinets," says designer Susan Serra, "are the perfect alternative to white and pair well with wood floors or other wood accents." The soft shades of gray in the cabinets match the endless accent colors in the kitchen."

Get the look. Add some extra dimension to your space with a can of Sherwin-Williams' Worldly Gray.

2. Branch Bouquet

Perhaps quite simply, a twig bouquet like this one from @melvanddesign adds just the right amount of natural romance to an otherwise bare space.

"A great way to add texture," says Sierra, "the dramatic twig bouquet is an element that evokes the beauty of nature in a simple form." It's a popular design focal point because it doesn't cost anything to forage a bit in the woods and find an interesting branch to display. It's easy to change the look to a different type of branch, or even to a series of branches."

Get the look. Find your perfect foraged bouquet with a post-Thanksgiving hike in the woods, then pair it with a rustic ceramic vase.

3. Antique Island

In the spirit of mixing the old with the new, this antique island seen on the @home_decor_daily account answers the call perfectly.

"We're seeing the antique trend again," says designer Jennifer Davis of Davis Interiors." I think people are tired of the white Instagram kitchens they've seen 1,000 times. Antique pieces allow for originality and they also have a worn look that feels warm and inviting."

Get the look. Create a warm and inviting atmosphere in your own kitchen by going to your local antique market or buying this weathered kitchen island.

3. Fireplace.

Another way to embrace nostalgia in your kitchen is to install some old-fashioned flair in an unused corner. In a modern kitchen featured by @amystormandco, we can't get over how charming this fireplace looks.

"The fireplace is popular for its beauty and functionality," says Sierra." It adds a strong architectural design element to the kitchen, and cooking pizza, baked goods and other specialty foods in the hearth will keep things interesting."

4. industrial-style bar stools

Speaking of architectural design, these industrial-style bar stools shared by @carriedelanyinteriors (designed by @nicolegreendesignhouse) give us all the nostalgic old-world vibes that we crave every year.

"Mixing hard and soft in design is very popular right now," says Davis." The industrial stools give an edge to an otherwise classic kitchen, and the mix of elements and styles brings your design to life."
