Abstract: Olympic gold medallist and skating analyst Scott Hamilton is set to sell his mansion in Brentwood, Tennessee.

The elegant brick home outside Nashville, Tennessee is on the market for $4.6 million. It spans nearly 11,000 square feet and features five bedrooms and 7.5 bathrooms.

Hamilton bought the home in 2018 for $2.6 million. So, if he gets what he wants, he's in for a tidy profit.

Nestled in the gated community of Woodward Hills, Hamilton's palatial home is filled with ornate Old World details. Many rooms are adorned with heavy mouldings, scrolls and chandeliers.

The main living room has soaring ceilings, two rows of windows and a massive fireplace. A stately staircase climbs from the foyer to the first floor, overlooking the great room below.

As befits a property of this size, there are two kitchens, two laundry rooms, and each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. The main kitchen boasts luxury appliances, a large island with seating for four and a nearby sunny breakfast area.

The 1.26-acre private lot is tree-lined and adjacent to Radnor Lake State Park. There's also a saltwater pool and a pool cabana with ensuite bathroom.

Other recreational amenities include a fire pit with seating, an outdoor kitchen and grill, and a theatre located on the fourth floor. Happily, there is also a lift.

Hamilton wowed the world when he won the gold medal in figure skating at the 1984 Winter Olympics in Sarajevo. Today, he is an analyst and commentator on the sport.

Hamilton founded two figure skating academies in Tennessee, where he mentored rookies, and in 2018, the famed skater sold another mansion in Franklin, Tennessee, for $3.1 million.

A cancer survivor, Hamilton has made a name for himself as a motivational speaker calling attention to cancer and raising money to fight it.
