Abstract: From fashion to furniture, the quiet luxury trend seems to be everywhere these days.

It has become a social media favourite and an HGTV staple. You know quiet luxury when you see it: a room influenced by quiet luxury is filled with high-quality pieces, neutral colours and subtle, eye-catching details that make it feel opulent without being over the top.

So this means that joining the quiet luxury home décor trend comes at a high price, right? Well, it doesn't have to be! In fact, it is possible to have quiet luxury in your living room, bedroom or bathroom without having to sacrifice your savings account.

Linen bedding

This luxury linen set will give your bedroom a subtle air of luxury, it includes a duvet cover, two bedspreads, a sheet and pillowcase. And the best part? It's all for under $300.

"Quince's luxury bedding package, which includes breathable linens and duvets, is a steal," says Theresa Ory, principal of Theresa Ory Interiors in Atlanta, Georgia, and a member of the Baldwin Hardware Design Authority.

Available in a variety of shades, including ivory, soft blush and sand, these linens are also free from any harmful chemicals or toxins.

Tableware

When it comes to quiet luxury, it's important to leave no stone unturned. These sleek plates are made from hand-painted porcelain and have a side lip to prevent food from slipping or sliding open. They also cost $40 for a set of four and are dishwasher safe. Stylish, affordable and easy to clean? Needless to say!

Ceramic Candlesticks

Dana Feagles, founder and lead interior designer of Revelry Interiors in Santa Rosa, California, says Etsy was one of the first places she went to for quiet luxury. The popular site connects clients with independent makers, some of whom are happy to customize pieces for you.

"One of my favourite items includes these lovely $20 ceramic candle holders that I have in my own home," she says.

Ceramic vase

Swap out your plain clear glass vase with this chic ceramic vase, which has an eye-catching centre cut-out.

This inexpensive vase comes in a variety of sizes and pairs well with pale poppies, beige roses and dried lavender. Use it as a centrepiece for your dining table, or place it on your bedside table to add some detail and texture to your bedroom.

Wooden stools

Quiet luxury can also be incorporated into the home through furniture. But if you're not on the spot to spend $10,000 on a cloud sofa (aka the world's most comfortable sofa), start with something small. feagles recommends these solid wood stools from Etsy to get the job done.

Available in a range of customisable sizes, these beautiful stools can be used as a side table, a coffee table or even a sleeper sofa. These have such an awesome price for a stylish, handmade, solid wood piece of furniture," she says.

Porcelain chandelier

In addition to Etsy, Feagles looks to Wescover for elegant pieces that can easily enhance a space.

One of her favourite pieces on the site is this porcelain chandelier made from white translucent porcelain. When you turn the light on, it radiates a warm amber hue and comes with a braided rope and matching clay top plate.

"It's handmade, high quality and understated," says Figueres." Perfect for achieving quiet luxury."

Blanket

A simple but high-end blanket can quickly transform a sofa and bed into a luxurious place to relax. If you want a blanket that looks much more expensive than it actually is, give Parachute a whirl.

This much-loved brand's cosy blankets are timeless pieces thanks to their high quality and reasonable prices. Linen is great because it goes with everything, but, TBH, any of their shades lend themselves to a quietly luxurious quality.

Jute cushion

With a soothing grey-blue pattern, this jute and cotton blend rug from HAY will add a soft touch to any room.

Place it near a doorway for a chic entryway, or lay it over a larger rug for a rich textured look. If you want something bigger, be sure to check out the brand's area rugs, which are just as beautiful.
