The four connected granaries have actually been converted into a secluded, 1,325 square foot hunting site.
The three-bedroom property is now on the market for $1,599,000.
"It's turnkey," says listing agent Anna Van Diest, who worked with Moses Lake Real Estate Group." It's the ultimate man cave. It's kind of like a hunter's paradise on a recreational property."
The metal containers weren't always a shelter. The granary had been used for its original purpose - storing grain - but "the owner had a vision to convert the space into a living space so it would be a little escape for him," Van Diest explains.
So, about 10 years ago, he added a concrete slab to interconnect the grain bins, then added insulation, windows, electricity, a septic tank and a water well.
Three of the four converted granaries are living spaces, with three loft-style bedrooms and a bathroom. The fourth barn is a garage.
"Basically, he added everything he needed to have all the luxuries, but also the security," says Van Diest.
"He wanted it to look rural and wanted people driving by to not think it was a home."
There was no problem with that. The home blends perfectly into its surroundings.
"There are some silos and a lift next to it that operates as a grain silo, so you drive by and think, 'Oh, it's just some grain silos,'" Van Diest says." It's just a bit unobtrusive."
The current owner uses the land as a shooting range - the targets are up to a mile long - as well as a hunting area.
"It's great for anyone who wants to have fun while targeting, and there's game all year round," Van Diest said." We had a six-point deer that was hanging on the wall [inside]. That's on the property."
About 10 acres are irrigated and planted with grain and alfalfa to attract wildlife.
There is also a pond stocked with bass, designed to never freeze, perfect for year-round fishing.
The property also offers high-tech security features.
It has pretty cool smart home technology where you can virtually see what's going on inside and outside the home," explains Van Diest, who adds that there is a special bunker room with fireproof and secure storage space.
And, if you just want to relax, there's a fire pit to enjoy after a long day.
