Abstract: Dan Snyder, owner of the Washington Command football team, has listed his Potomac, Maryland mansion for a whopping $49 million.

At the current asking price, it's the most expensive home listed in the state.

But Snyder doesn't have to worry about having a place to live in the Washington area.

He also owns a huge property on a historic lot in Alexandria, Virginia.

Snyder paid $48 million for his Virginia spread in October 2021.

When the property comes on the market in October 2020 for $60 million, it is the most expensive property for sale in Virginia.

With five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms and plenty of living space, this Maryland mansion sits on nearly 10 acres of land and is a staggering 30,000 square feet.

This home is luxurious and regal thanks to its castle design and limestone exterior.

The house even has a truly royal pedigree. It was once owned by King Hussein and Queen Noor of Jordan.

This stunning property includes a half mile long gated driveway; guardhouse; manager's house; and guesthouse.

With such amenities, the grandeur of the estate is almost unmatched.

In fact, the only person in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area who lives in something bigger is probably the President of the United States himself.

A 24-foot-tall fireplace sits prominently at the entrance, which leads to the huge living and dining rooms, library, kitchen, study and more.

Another wing houses the gym, spa and office, while the lower level has a wine cellar, home cinema and a club room with bar and TV.

The master bedroom offers miles of views, as well as a sitting room, dressing space and two spa-inspired bathrooms.

The guesthouse has a large kitchen, living room and dining room.

A 12-car garage with polished floors and a magnificent spiral staircase rivals the most luxurious car showrooms in the world.

The Snyder family has owned the Commandery since 1999 and has been involved in a series of controversies, lawsuits and name changes. Snyder has been unable to lead his NFL teams to any kind of sustained success.

The Commanders have only made the playoffs six times in more than two decades and have never made it past the divisional playoffs.
